One of the world’s most popular and widely recognized diving certificate is without any doubt the PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver. During this course you will learn all what you need to know to explore the amazing underwater world.
In order to take part at the PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver Course you must have reached the age of 16 years or 12 years for the Junior course. Naturally you need to be able to swim and medically fit for diving.
The duration of this course takes mostly between 3 to 4 days to be completed.
The PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver Course consists of 3 main phases:
- Knowledge Development: it covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know in order to dive in a safe way and enjoy being underwater. This section you can learn online at your own convenience and pace from home or at place in our classroom whenever you decide to start the course.
- Confined Water Dives: Under the direct supervision of your instructor, you will develop and practice scuba skills in the swimming pool or in confined water at the local shore regarding your preference.
- Open Water Dives: Get ready to experience everything you have learned with the freedom of open water. In these four open water dives, you will review your dive skills with your instructor and explore the wonderful underwater world of the Red Sea at local dive sites.
This course is structured in such a logical way, so that you always will gain confidence the further you go.
At the end of the PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver Course, you will have to pass the final exam to get your certificate.
Once you get certified, you will be allowed to dive until a maximum depth of 18 meters independently with you buddy.
