Diving on wrecks appeals to many divers, though for many different reasons. You may find yourself attracted to the challenge of exploring the wreck, a fascination with its historical nature or just to see how aquatic life takes possession of the wreck.

The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty Course will help prepare you to safely dive on wrecks.

To enroll the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty Course, you must have finished successfully the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course or an equivalent such as the PADI Adventure Diver Course and you need to be 15 years or older.

This course can be taken in maximum 4 days.

What will this course teach you?

You will be able to explain the historical value of wrecks, social and legal issues surrounding that value and you will able to describe the implications of diving at some wrecks including the pros and cons of removing artifacts from these wrecks.

You will learn to recognize and avoid potential hazards of wreck diving and planning procedures concerning these dives. You will be able to plan and organize dives to explore wrecks safely.

Your instructor will also teach you to identify the potential risks of wreck penetration and demonstrate the techniques and procedures required to minimize these risks.

The course also includes the preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration, lines and reels. Limited visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures will be demonstrated and practiced.

During 4 wreck dives you will be able to use all the acquainted knowledge around wreck diving. 

Whether it is your first or your hundredth dive on a wreck, few moments in diving compare with descending on the past.
