When you go on holiday to a holiday destination, you want to get the most out of it. Well with the PADI Open Water Referral Course you don’t have to make the choice if you want to spend your holiday time learning. Holiday time has to be experienced at the fullest. The PADI Referral allows you to start your learning at home.

The PADI Open Water Referral Course is actually the last part of the PADI Open Water Diver Course: the four open water dives.

To start this course you must be minimum 16 years old or 12 years for the Junior course, have good swimming skills and a good physical health.

The first part, the knowledge development, of the PADI Open Water Diver Course you can start at home at a dive center of your choice or by E-learning.  The second part, the confined dives, will be done in a swimming pool near your home. You will learn the necessary skills of scuba diving until you feel comfortable. When you have build enough confidence and done the final exam, you are ready for the open water dives.  At the end you will receive a certificate that proves you finished the theory and the confined dives of the PADI Open Water Diver Course.

Don’t be mistaken, the above mentioned certificate is not one that allows you to dive anywhere in the world. This paper is needed for you, in order to finish your PADI Referral. And keep in mind that it is only valid for up to 12 months.

With the PADI Open Water Referral, gives you the possibility to finish the open water dives in the open sea at your holiday destination. This will only take 2 days of your holiday to make 4 open water dives where you will demonstrate and practice the knowledge and skills you learned at home.

It will allows you to get your PADI Open Water Diver certificate and you will be possible to dive until a depth of maximum 18 meters independently with a dive buddy.
