That is where the PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver Course comes into play.
Doing the PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver Course is meant to give you a glimpse into different diving environments, such as wreck diving, drift diving and a lot more. But you also have the opportunity to hone the basic skills you have acquired during your previous course.
There are not many prerequisites to get started with the PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver Course. You need to be in the possession of the PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver Certificate. For the Junior course you need to be at least 12 years old and it will allow you to dive till a depth of 21 meters. As soon as you reach the age of 15 years your certificate turns automatically into the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certificate and will allows you to dive till a depth of maximum 30 meters.
During the PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver Course you will do 5 open water dives which are called adventure dives.
Mandatory is a deep dive as well as underwater navigation. For the other 3 dives you are free to choose amongst the list of the specialty courses. This choice will depend on your interests, your instructor and where you are diving. Before starting the course you can always with your instructor which are the best adventure dives you can pick up in your PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver Course.
For this course there is no final exam but there will be a knowledge review for the adventure dives you choose.
The PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Diver certificate allows you to dive deeper, till a depth of 30 meters. It will introduce you to different diving environments and help you develop you have learned in your PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver Course.
